Hey folks! I’m Terri Shaw, and I manage sales for SABIAN in the United States. I’ve been fortunate to work for this amazing company now for 14 years, and have had the pleasure of organizing, overseeing and traveling on our US Vault Tours from the very first one we did. I’m looking forward to seeing familiar faces from past events – and meeting lots of new people on this tour, so be sure to come out and see us!
Our day started with a 5 1/2 hour drive to Mom's Music in Louisville, KY. It was a beautiful, sunny day in Louisville, perfect weather to be outside making cymbals and working with customers. Max, Ryan and the entire staff at Mom's were great to work with and very helpful!
Troy Yocum stopped by to meet the Vault Team and had a cymbal specially made on-site! He is a US Army Soldier who attempted to break the Drumming Guiness Record from Kuwait this past Spring. He's now preparing to hike across the US while drumming and raising money for children in need. Follow him on Twitter @MyDrumHike.
The Vault Team also had a special visit from drummer Kris MacFarlane (of the Canadian band GREAT BIG SEA) - he is currently touring with the band throughout the US - check them out in a city near you!
The crew worked with customers throughout the day, even adding sizzle rivets to Troy's cymbal to find that perfect sound! Next stop.....Memphis TN!
