20" Artisan Elite

Catalog Id A2012EN

Skillfully handcrafted at every step using elements of cymbal-making even the most traditional cymbal companies have abandoned, new 20" Artisan Elite cymbals take Artisan deeper, darker, dirtier. Tonally, drummers would not be far off the mark to consider them the "black sheep" of the Artisan family. Extensive multi-peen and high-density hammering is one of the factors that contribute to the Elite sound, resulting in tone that is lower-pitched and drier than other Artisan cymbals. Their unique lathing and flatter, lower profile bell also result in woody bell tone that is more integrated into the overall cymbal sound than other Artisan models. 20" Artisan Elite also differ from other Artisan cymbals in appearance. With un-lathed traces of surface revealing tin oxide and other imperfections, they will appeal to drummers who like dirt and blemishes on their cymbals ' a look that's perfectly coordinated with the dirt in the tone. SABIAN Artisan cymbals have always been masterpieces, pushing forward the art of cymbal making while delivering old-world sound. Artisan Elite are the latest cymbals from Sabian to deliver on the Artisan promise.

Sound Dark
Weight Medium Thin

The 16" and 17" V-Crashes come to sparkling life with ease and could grace many settings where quick, bright punctuation is required. From the 18" model upwards things take a distinct turn for the louder, with each increase in diameter notching up the volume further. While the 18" model is pretty full-on, the 19" and 20" are staggeringly powerful crashes that beg for a big stage on which to be unleashed. Despite being capable of such huge volume, their sweetness makes them dangerously playable.
