Tom has been playing with legendary singer/songwriter Robert Earl Keen for over 12 years now. But, playing on his numerous, critically acclaimed records and performing sold-out shows across the US with the REK Band is only a part of the story.

Beginning his professional career while still in high school, Tom worked "just about every club, theater and honky-tonk in Texas". He was the original drummer for the Dixie Chicks, recording 3 albums and touring with them internationally for almost 6 years. Over the years, he has also performed with artists as diverse as Larry Coryell, B.J. Thomas, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Bo Diddley, Carrie Rodriguez, the Irving Symphony and the Ft. Worth/ Dallas Ballet. He has also worked on many other artist's CD's and recorded scores of jingles.

After earning a degree in Jazz Studies from University of North Texas, Tom taught percussion, band and music theory at Navarro College and the B.T.W. High School for the Performing Arts in Dallas for 5 years. He has had numerous articles published in Modern Drummer Magazine and is also endorsed by Mapex Drums, Aquarian Drumheads and Promark Drumsticks.

He currently resides in Austin, TX with his wife and their 3 dogs.
