Biography

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan Paul Campbell developed a love for music in the church. Captivated by the sound of the drums, he would play on books with anything that resembled drumsticks.

As he matured and sought after opportunities abroad to develop his musical gift, Paul was offered a full music scholarship to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff under the leadership of Professor John Graham and Harold Fooster. At UAPB, he worked diligently in his studies and began to establish himself as a professional musician.

Upon graduating in 2004, Paul has garnished many experiences as drummer for nationally acclaimed artists such as Case, Chrisette Michele, Tank, El DeBarge, Carl Thomas, Dave Hollister, Joe, Raheem DeVaughn, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Kim Burrell and many others. He travels frequently to lend his talents to various musical projects for other upcoming and established artists across the country.

While home, Paul serves as a staffed musician for Saint Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Sanctuary Choir won Verizon's "How Sweet The Sound" National Choir Competition in 2013. As a result of his educational background and extensive experience in music, in 2013 Mr. Campbell was sought after and appointed as Instrumental Music Recruiter/ Assistant Director of Bands at Arkansas Baptist College.

Paul also instructs several courses including Event Management & Promotions; Intermediate Studio Techniques; Marching/Concert Band; and Applied Percussion. It is inevitable in this role that Mr. Campbell serves as a mentor for young men and women who strive to become professionals in music business and performing arts fields.

While working to obtain an MBA Master's Degree in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University, Paul is participating in overseas travel with the American Music Abroad Cultural Exchange Program to promote education of American music to global audiences. He has given back to his community by volunteering countless hours to perform, mentor or speak for CALEB Initiative Program, Arkansas Youth/Young Adult Abstinence Program, University of Arkansas' Center for Multicultural and Diversity Education programs, and Global Kids Foundation Benefit Concerts.

From his passion for music to his undeniable heart as an advocate for youth and young adults, Mr. Campbell has made a huge impact in his local community and within national artist networks, and he continues to leave a mark in the lives of everyone who is affected by his determined and contagious spirit.
