GROUP CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR
Michael Lasaponara is a professional drummer that hails from Rochester, N.Y. He has been playing since the age of 13, when he began doing drum line and jazz band in high school. He went to SUNY Fredonia for music, and earned a bachelor's degree in sound recording technology.
Shortly after college, Mike began playing in Roses Are Red, a band on Trustkill Records. That was followed by a short stint playing for William Tell (Universal Records). He is now the drummer for the Buffalo based band Cute Is What We Aim For (Fueled By Ramen).
Mike has studied under Chris Pennie (Coheed and Cambria) as well as Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion). He is very proud to be playing Sabian and is currently using the Evolution and HHXplosion series cymbals.
