Drumset Artists Mark Carson

Currently an active freelance performer and educator in the Washington, DC area specializing in classical and commercial performance. Mark has performed with the National Symphony, Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and National Gallery Orchestra, Baltimore Opera Company, Houston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and New York City Ballet. An active freelance performer in all styles specializing in drumset and vibes he has also played with Diane Schur, Kenny Rankin, Chaka Kahn, Clay Aiken, The Gatlin Brothers and recorded soundtracks for Disney, National Geographic, HBO, Discovery Channel, Naxos, National Public Radio, Learning Channel and the Fox network. As an educational artist for Sabian Cymbals, Pearl Drums/Adams Percussion, Blackswamp Percussion and Vic Firth drumsticks he presents clinics at all levels. Actively commissioning new works involving percussion and various instruments and has given world premier performances of ten works.
