Alberto Vargas



Alberto Vargas is a professional drummer and percussionist who began his career at the age of 17 with various local Venezuelan bands. Through out his career, he acquired extensive experience playing many different styles of music from rock to latin jazz and salsa. Alberto has extensive recording experience as well. He has won a Latin Grammy for recording the CD "Como Se Llega a Belen" with the widely popular Venezuelan band "Voz Veis," and received a nomination for recording with Nino Segarra on the CD "De Nino a Nino." He has also recorded with Gloria Estefan, Tecupae, Mermelada Bunch, and Doris Machin. Currently, he works with the New Wine music group, the home praise and worship band for Ministerio Internacional El Rey Jesus, the largest Hispanic Christian church in the United States.
