New York in June with Dafnis Prieto
Thursday June 19th 2008 in New York City Dafnis Prieto released his new CD entitled "Taking the Soul for a Walk" with his Dafnis Prieto Sextet at The Jazz Standard. His band consists of Peter Apfelbaum /Tenor & Soprano Saxophones and Melodica, Avishai Cohen/Trumpet, Felipe Lamoglia /Alto and Soprano saxophones, Manuel Valera/Piano, Yunior Terry/Bass and of course Dafnis Prieto/Drums.
Among many of the Musical luminaries in attendance that night were Robbie Ameen (Carly Simon, Paul Simon), Jojo Mayer, Andres Forrero (Broadways Multi-Tony Award winning show "In The Heights") & his wife Lisa enjoying the musical exploration of another amazing talent.
