Van Romaine's groove takes him around the world

From Fusion to Pop, one of New York's Finest Delivers the Goods
A fine example of a talented drummer applying his skills to different styles of music ? and having a great career as a result ? Van Romaine, best known for his incredible ability to blast through odd-time signature fusion with Dixie Dregs and Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse, has been all over the world again with global chart topper Enrique Iglesias. Tours of Central and South America, the International Day Award Show in Paris, and the Isle of MTV concert (for 70,000 fans) in Malta (runs for two months on MTV) led up to playing the opening of the Euro Cup Final in Vienna. In addition to tracking in Miami for Enrique's new CD, Van is in the midst of recording the latest Steve Morse album, and starts work on top German singer Nena's new CD in Stuttgart, before touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland with her in August. Whew!
