Mark Schulman Draws Audience

MARK SCHULMAN DRAWS AUDIENCE... AND SUPPORT FOR NEW MUSIC SCHOOL IN GERMANY

Mar 27, 2009

Mark Schulman, whose stellar career (Foreigner, Simple Minds, Cher, Pink... ) should remind us all that being a nice guy who plays a mean groove and has fun with his gig (and life in general) goes a long, long way to finding happiness as a musician. Sure, Mark can get onstage at London's Teenage Cancer Trust concert (alongside an all-star line-up) and rip through Tower of Power's 'What is Hip', or drive Pink's world tour with the energy of a dynamo. But to really experience Mark Schulman you want to get close... closer than an arena seat. At a recent clinic held to attract support for the Modern Music School in Gießen, Germany, Mark delivered the sheer energy of life... put into grooves and solos that more drummers should be hearing.

Said the school's Sebastian: "Your clinic in Gießen really helped a lot for our new Music Center. The Mayor and the head of municipal cultural department attended and both were really excited about you and the audience response (300 people, what a great audience!). "Gießen rocks!" After some months of hard work, the city of Gießen finally promised its support for our new center."

"This response makes me feel good," says Mark. "I feel such a sense of gratitude when my life is going great, and since I really believe that we are all responsible for each other, it means so much to me when I am able to really make a measurable difference in the lives of people I meet."
