Dirk Brand (Session Great) - Made a welcomed return to the Agora Stage after last years' blistering performance. Dirk Brand is a session musician through and through - his performance demonstrates his understanding of the different genres as he performed grooves from funk, metal, R n B and Afro-Celtic grooves. His wide cymbal mix covers a multitude of frequencies for generic expression.

Moritz Müller (Hesslers) - This young new blood showed incredible promise as he opened up with a versatile solo to make his statement before bringing on his four piece band 'Hesslers'. Using a simply and modest cymbal set-up he pushed the boundaries of HHX to the edge - the dark tonal characteristics projected solid tone and volume.

Dennis Poschwatta (iO) - Formerly of Guano Apes fame performed with his new four piece outfit iO. His powerhouse expression was evident in his performance as he move through the gears of his energy. Performing with this pumping rock/metal outfit he produced pure energy, sweat and a driving groove. His drumming style put his cymbals through the test especially AAX as the cymbals make a marked statement during his raw hard-edged performance.

Spanky McCurdy (Kanye West) - Taking time-out from from his gig with Kanye West to perform at the Musikmesse, Spanky journeyed through his grooves and chops demonstrating explosive stick work and musical expression. Dark sounds from HHX mixed with the bright projection of AAX delivered a pallet of cymbal colors especially when the 18" APX Ozone Crash was overlaid on top of the 21" HH Crossover Ride on one of his tracks.

With an expressional flair, articulating stick technique and rhythmic expression Jo Jo pulled out all the stops to deliver a performance with the wow factor. Introducing the new 8" & 10" Chopper?s and 16" APX Ozone to his set-up, these additional sounds boosted Jo Jo's arsenal of cymbal sounds to highlight his performance.

David Langguth (Nelly Furtado) - A huge welcomed performance demonstrating sharp, precise and infectious grooves left no question as to why Dave Langguth nailed the drumseat for Nelly Furtado. His selected choice of HHX with AAX produced a complimenting blend of cymbal sounds as they made their statements individually as well as a blended group of cymbals..

The European All Star Groove Night held by Yamaha makes its debut appearance at The Festhalle as part of the Musikmesse events and many drummers across Europe and U.S. joined the event. With historic success at the NAMM show in Anaheim, the event was showcased in Europe for the first time.
"It's pretty rare to have so many great drummers in one place," said host Rick Marotta. "Even better is that they're all going to get to play. This show is a thrill for drummers and casual music fans alike."
