SABIAN ARTIST RELATIONS HOSTS PLAYERS' PARTY IN NEW YORK

SABIAN Players and Personnel Enjoy Major Meet 'n' Greet in the Big Apple

 

The SABIAN Artist Relations Team recently hosted an artist get-together at New York City's famed Smash Studios. Hosted by the AR Team (USA) of Bobby Boos, Paul Cellucci and Christian Stankee along with SABIAN personnel from Canada and the UK, the evening event attracted a 'who's who' of New York-area players including the legendary Bernard Purdie, Living Colour's Will Calhoun, latin-jazz king Bobby Sanabria, jazz greats Horacee Arnold and Carl Allen, Broadway players Larry Lelli and Andres Forerro, Chris Pennie of rockers Coheed & Cambria, drum corps hall of fame member Dennis DeLucia and many others.

Standing in the crowded studio just blocks from Times Square, SABIAN artist relations manager Bobby Boos commented: "SABIAN Artist Relations is all about friendship, trust, and family. The people here tonight, even the newer members, are friends and part of the SABIAN family. Many players may think that endorsements are all about gear, but they would be wrong. Next to playing gear you believe in, the most important aspect of an endorsement is the friendship and trust that will come through to support you in the toughest times. That combination of great gear and support may account for why so many of the players here tonight have been with SABIAN for so many years."

Amidst all the socializing there was the opportunity for players to experience new SABIAN sounds including the APX cymbal series, the Chopper and Alu Bell percussion pieces and the Vault CrossOver Ride. "Everyone was knocked out by the new sounds," added Boos. "But most importantly, everyone had a great time meeting old friends and making new ones, which is, like I said, why SABIAN is one big family."
