About Me

My name is Damen "Drummer" Barbee. I've been a drummer since the age of 3. Sabian was the first brand cymbal that I have ever used. I started with the B8 series, the a few years later I got an AA

crash and an AAX crash. Bought them for a couple of bucks since they were cracked and chipped, but they still sounded good. Currently using AAX 16" and 18" crashes with an AAX Stage Ride. The AAX series are amazing. I went independent for a little while then I stopped playing after that since I had to deal with college and work. I still have the soul, power, and fire of a drummer in me. Sit me in front of a drumset and I'll start playing away. It's gotta be a double bass set otherwise I wont play it. I know I'm picky like that but I need to be comfortable with the drumset that I play otherwise I won't play it.

I was once a member of a band called My Gorgeous Disaster. I was in the band for 3 months and had to leave due to issues regarding work and school. After getting everything stabilized in my life, I

started playing in a Thrash Metal band called Carnage Driven. I've been playing with Carnage Driven from the Summer of 2008 and parted ways with them during the Spring of 2009. Now I'm currently playing in Pagan Black Metal band called Athame. "Athame" is a dagger which was used for human sacrificial rituals. I'm also doing a side project/band thing with a friend of mine called Toter Winter: an Ambient Black Metal project that me and my friend started. To sum everything up: I'm an independent drummer willing to record drums for any band in need of drum recordings.
