Biography

A key figure in the Los Angeles session scene, an instructor at the famed Musician's Institute in Hollywood, and a clinician of international renown, Richie 'Gajate' Garcia is rated as one of the world's most accomplished and versatile latin drummer/percussionists. A graduate of the American Conservatory of Music, he is a member of the critically acclaimed group Hiroshima. As a session player Richie has enjoyed musical activities covering virtually every activity and style, from movie soundtracks to global tours, performing with Phil Collins, Sting, Diana Ross, John Denver, and Art Garfunkel among many others. Richie 'Gajate' Garcia is an exceptional player with a passion for his art.
