Biography
Jim Riley is the type of player that seems to be comfortable in any musical situation he falls into. While his formal training may be evident, you can’t help but notice a sense of groove and a passion for the music that seems to be found only in soundproofed garages and smokey bars. Since moving to Nashville in 1997, Jim Riley has firmly established himself as one of Nashville’s elite touring drummers. After cutting his teeth with country singer Mark Chesnutt and outlaw rocker Hank Williams III, Jim actually left both jobs to take a chance on an up and coming act. That seems to have worked out pretty well. Rascal Flatts is one of the biggest bands on the planet and Jim has been with them every step of the way.
