Biography
Born in Houston, TX, Elliot Jacobson started playing drums in 1996. Now based in New York, he endorses Vater drumsticks, Yamaha Drums, SABIAN Cymbals and Evans Drumheads and Gator Cases. Elliot began playing with friend Ingrid Michaelson in 2004 and continues to record and tour as her permanent drummer today. With Ingrid, Elliot has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, The CBS Early Show and others.
He also backs up the solo efforts of fellow Ingrid Michaelson band members Bess Rogers and Allie Moss. In addition, Elliot can be seen and heard recording and performing with New York based artists Jenny Owen Youngs, Lelia Broussard, Lauren Zettler and Ricky Valente.
Elliot is often called upon to work with a long list of talented artists. This list includes Regina Spektor, Greg Laswell, Jim Bianco, The Woes, April Smith, Dan Romer, Ashley Dupre, Betsie Larkin, Hayley Taylor, Charlie Ward, Anya Marina, Nick Howard, Rachel Platten, Alexa Wilkinson, Nell Bryden, Amy Regan, and Josh Albright.
