Biography
Acquiring her first drum kit at the age of five, Elie Bertrand lives and breathes drums. Born in Montreal, she grew up inspired by phenomenal drummers such as Bonham, Freese, Adair, Arnoff, and Chambers. Over the years she has studied jazz, funk, latin and blues drumming, but has always had a penchant for hard rock. "I have always been a fan of SABIAN because their cymbals are so awesome and versatile. Whether you go for a pop, rock or funk gig, you always have the right sound," raves Elie. "But I especially love the Vault line for its unique, bright and powerful sound." Today, Elie is the powerhouse drummer for Scarlet Sins, Toronto's all-female hard rock quartet.
