Biography

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Dennis Leeflang made a name for himself in the European rock and metal scene, playing with bands such as Within Temptation, Epica and Sun Caged. At age 25, Leeflang exchanged wind mills for skyscrapers and relocated to New York City to become the full-time drummer for Bumblefoot (aka Ron Thal, Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist), after having served as his European touring drummer for several years. Immediately after the move to NY in 2004, Dennis would find himself teaching and doing sessions on a daily basis. With Bumblefoot, Dennis records two albums (“Normal” and “Abnormal”), and the duo continues to collaborate for various projects. In 2007 he built his own studio in New York from where he records drum tracks for his various project, as well as doing full album productions.

In 2009, Leeflang joined metal queen Lita Ford’s band with only one day to learn her set, followed by a 3 month tour around Europe and the US. He continues to tour with Lita today, promoting her newest studio album “Wicked Wonderland”. When not recording or touring with Lita Ford or Bumblefoot, Dennis performs drum clinics in Europe, Russia and the US, and plays with many local NYC indie bands. He regularly collaborates as a drummer and producer with both New York based artists and bands all over the globe.
